Wonderful grocery store that has many variety of Asian foods and products. Lots of goodies sweets produce meats and much more ingredients for a proper Asian dish.

I really enjoy Otos! They offer a huge variety of Japanese foods, drinks, appliances, toys, dishes, gadgets, candies, and sake. Their watermelons are the best—you can even find yellow-fleshed ones or ones with black rinds! I used to always grab their coffee jello and cream; it was absolutely delicious.

Oto Market is a right place for anyone who loves fresh Japanese ingredients! Their sashimi-grade fish is incredibly fresh and high quality — perfect for making sushi or poke at home. The selection of sake is also impressive, especially top-tier options like Dassai 23, which pairs beautifully with their seafood. I also love their unique jelly shot sake — fun, flavorful, and something you don’t find everywhere. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely one of my favorite spots for premium Japanese food and drinks in town!

Best spot to get sushi grade fish in the area! Made some homemade sushi using their hamachi, salmon, and toro. Super tasty and fresh! They also have bento boxes and fresh sushi made daily for a super affordable price. I love it! I’m including some photos of the sushi I was able to make with the fish I got!

A Hidden Gem for Japanese Food Lovers! This Japanese grocery store is a true gem! The selection is impressive—from fresh produce and sushi-grade fish to authentic snacks, sauces, and ready-to-eat bento boxes. Everything is well-organized and clean, making shopping a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help with recommendations or explain unfamiliar items. I especially love their fresh sushi/bentos section and seasonal specialties that bring a little taste of Japan to my kitchen. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit!

Japanese markets generally maintain a high level of cleanliness. Even in the fresh food section, there is no noticeable fish or meat odor, and all products appear clean and as fresh as if they were just caught. This market primarily sells products made in Japan or commonly used by Japanese people, but it also carries some other Asian and American products. They produce their own bento meals, but aside from a few options, I wouldn’t recommend them. The food I bought was cheap, but it only tasted like plain rice, with no distinctive flavor. The parking lot is small, making it difficult to find a spot when it's busy. However, since there isn’t another Japanese market of this scale in Sacramento, it holds unique value.

Extremely clean and well stocked store! Also an amazing variety of beautiful bowls & other items. I got some new ramen bowls and sushi sets and I love them!

This is a small Asian market but it has all the basics like rice, noodles, sauces, and snacks. There’s a fresh seafood section that’s clean and well-stocked. They even have a small section of prepared food like sushi and rice rolls. Parking is usually easy and the staff is pretty friendly. A great local spot if you’re looking for Asian groceries.
